“Grupo Brasilidade”, Rio de Janeiro’s premier Brazilian “Pagode” band - lead by band leader & Unica Samba School director; Flavio Ribeiro. For over 12 years Grupo Brasilidade (currently residing in Los Angeles, CA) has toured the U.S. bringing their dynamic stage show to various cities and festivals while igniting the sounds of Brazil through Samba and Rio’s decorated sound called Pagode. The word BRASILIDADE (pronounced BRA-ZEEL-EE-DAH-GEE), in a technical point of view, means "Brazilness." On the other hand, on a metaphorical view, it means something with Brazilian spirit.
